Mr. Maffuccio is a 30-year real estate veteran and an expert in mortgage notes. He is deeply networked in the secondary mortgage industry and is responsible for acquisitions and underwriting as well as relationships with primary sources and key vendors. During his real estate career, Mr. Maffuccio developed, and/or rehabbed multiple residential projects in Southern California, including infill subdivisions, affordable homes, luxury homes and homesites, multifamily, and planned developments, such as the Gold Nugget Award-winning “Traditions” community in Fillmore. Mr. Maffuccio has personally executed and/or managed every aspect of the development process, including site selection and acquisition, project conceptualization and design, procurement of entitlements and permits, regulatory compliance, entity structuring and capitalization, construction management, marketing, sales, and investor relations. In 2009, Mr. Maffuccio began investing in mortgage loans, developing key sources and vendors and applying his extensive real estate experience to the note investment space. In 2012 Maffuccio co-founded Aspen Funds, a fund management company focused on mortgage investments.
Frank Roessler is the founder and CEO of Ashcroft Capital, a real estate investment firm headquartered in New York City. Previous to forming Ashcroft Capital, Frank gained over a decade’s worth of acquisition and asset management experience at M&A Real Estate Partners, another national multifamily investment firm.
As of 2020, Ashcroft Capital has acquired over $1 billion of assets and 10,000 units. The firm focuses on capital preservation while striving to return strong, risk-adjusted cash on cash to investors. The firm is capitalized with high net worth, family office and institutional capital. Within the real estate industry Ashcroft specializes in value-add real estate and has an expertise in extracting maximum value from every asset it acquires. The firm does not try to play cycle timing and instead strives to acquire excellent apartment communities within well-located submarkets of large and growing U.S. metroplexes.
Frank has a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Bucknell University and an MBA from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA.
Nathan Trunfio has spent his entire career in the lending and real estate industries where he’s had experience as a sales manager, trainer, director of operations, capital markets, credit officer, and is now the Sr. Director of Sales & Marketing at Lima One Capital, a lender offering financing to investors on fix and flip, new construction, rental properties and portfolios, and multifamily bridge loans. Nate takes pride in having expert-level knowledge and experience in lending on all asset classes, and has a track record of scaling teams and their production for high-growth companies. This has allowed him to finance over $1B in loans for both single-family and multi-family assets. Nate also actively invests in real estate himself, and he loves to share his passion for real estate investing and finance with others.
Ashley Wilson, is the Co-Founder of Bar Down Investments, LLC & HouseItLook, LLC, Best Selling Author of The Only Woman in the Room, Knowledge and Inspiration from 20 Women Real Estate Investors, and an active member of The Real Estate InvestHER Community. She has over ten years of real estate experience and has been involved in over $60 million in transactions within both single and multifamily real estate. Ashley Co-Founded Bar Down Investments, LLC with her husband, Kyle. Ashley leads asset and construction management on her multifamily investments, and has provided operational consulting for several other large multifamily owners throughout the country. Additionally, Ashley & her father, Tom, also have a very successful high-end flipping business in Pennsylvania, HouseItLook LLC, which handles several million in transactions annually. When Ashley is not working on her businesses, she enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband and their two daughters. Additionally, Ashley enjoys competing with her horse, Wow!.
